The Kit – NCC – 1701-C – Introduction

it normaly gets delivered in a nice and fancy Box from AMT.

Containing a documentation as well as Decals. The Decals Part is already differentiating the Kits. If you have the older kit, you do get a simple sheet with major mandatory stuff. if you bought the newer version it does

contain different Decals which should show battle damages

My kit, is in used condition, bought on a classified Ads page in Germany called Kleinanzeigen.de . 23 Euro seems okish for me, inclusive transportation.

Within the box (left) is everything I got. It is in pretty good condition. A “saucer-seperation” already happen and something small is broken. Nevertheless, from the outside nothing can be seen which is not fixable.

As i have seen within the Ads, the Glue is yellow, it means I can easily break it into pieces again. the glue is more crystaline and is not like welding the pieces together. Put it into warm water, and it will crack off easier. (Pls keep it for yourself – I still wanna buy more Units in such condition. 😉 )

Checking it on one location (left Picture) and I’ m able to see whats happen with the glue. easily cracking is possible. even just with a finger nail, I am able to crack it and I do feel that I am already in love with the kit and I do want to build the absolute maximum, which is possible. I do have already some ideas for this lad.

By realizing that she does not have any display stand, I do know I wanna build an impressive stand, something which is a kind of unique, but later more.

After the missing Display stand is identified, I do started to check the other parts, appart from the stand it seems to be complete – even some extra decals are available but i do guess thats not from this build. 😉

Left pic below are the original decals within the parcel, in the middle are some from the old Connie-Class and to the right are the newer decals with battle damages.

Note: even I have written a lot about the kit above , while searching a decal picture for the battle damage enterprise-C I do realized that the new kit has a lot of more differentiation. The Evacuation bay doors seems to be seperated now. For a battle damage version, it does make sense. you can even position them in a way to ensure the Evac-Pods have left the ship already. 😉 That’s something cool and I should take in my mind for some other models.

Finally i also got the documentation of this Ambassador Class with me. That might help me a bit with the general color coding but i do guess, i mix my more accurate colors.
